Easter Tour 2007

Bangor Youth Hostel
This year the tour is based in Bangor on the North Wales coast.
Set in the town of Bangor, this hostel is close to all amenities
with easy access to superb cycling
and walking. It is a large Victorian house with reception lounge,
games room, self-catering kitchen,
alcohol license, internet, showers, drying room,
cycle store, laundry facilities, shop and dining room.
The hostel serves food and packed lunches are also available.
We will have a 2-bedded room (for family with baby in cot), 3 x 4
bedded rooms and 1 x 6 bedded room.
It is relatively easy to access the suspension bridge across the Menai
Straits to Angelsey, picking up the
Sustrans Route 8 towards Holyhead. It is also easy to head south
on that route towards Caernarfon.
Cycle paths head northwards along the coast and inland. One day's
cycling will be on Angelsey
and the other visiting Conway and/or Caernarfon (castles) with the
opportunity to take in Penrhyn Castle,
a much more modern construction very close to Bangor itself.
The day's planned walk will be in the Aber Falls
area, easily reached via a short car journey.

your place.
